Standard General MIDI (GM) Wavetables

SONiVOX GM Wavetables are compliant with the MIDI Manufactures Association (MMA) General MIDI Level 1 Specification and the MMA specification for Scalable Polyphony MIDI (SP-MIDI). They are intended for use with any GM compliant MIDI wavetable synthesizer, including the SONiVOX Embedded Audio Synthesis (EAS) MIDI Synthesizer. They include 128 melodic instruments and 47 drum instruments (1 drumkit) and are designed for optimal performance of standard General MIDI (.mid) ringtone and music files available in the market today.

Regionalized Wavetables

SONiVOX' regionalized wavetables include instruments specific to a particular region or locale, for example the Chinese Instrument Wavetable designed for the Chinese consumer market. SONiVOX's regionalized wavetables are intended for use in conjunction with a standard GM wavetable. Wavetables, documentation, and authoring tools are provided to assist content designers writing for wireless device applications (ringtones, games, etc.).

Stylized Wavetables

SONiVOX' stylized wavetables include General MIDI compliant instruments tuned to a particular musical genre or style, for example the Techno Dance Wavetable designed for techno, euro-pop, or dance music styles or the FM Synth Wavetable designed for SMAF ringtones. The stylized wavetables are completely GM compatible and can therefore be used with existing GM (.mid) music files. They can also be used in conjunction with a standard GM wavetable providing for a larger pallete of instruments for content designers. Wavetables, documentation, and authoring tools are provided to assist content designers writing for wireless device applications (ringtones, games, etc.).
